Mission Statement
The CE.RI.SV.I. – Centre for Development Research and Innovation, is an Italian research centre that conducts basic scientific research, industrial research and experimental development services in support of public and private organizations.
CERISVI’s mission is to develop initiatives aimed at researching and innovating in its strategic sectors, as well as, spreading their results through the publication, dissemination, and the technology transfer.
The Institution, a not-profit making organisation, intends to implement, according to the initiatives and the interests of the territory, supporting activities to innovation and competitiveness, in particular:
- development of research, innovation and technology transfer infrastructures
- support of local and cross-border cooperation activities
- implementation and management of service facilities for the local research, innovation and competitiveness
- Promotion and implementation of initiatives to support the transfer of research results for development and competitive growth, as well as the development of new highly innovative entrepreneurships.
The institution, hence is aimed at promoting the local innovative processes and enhancing their social impact, by carrying out a connecting and integrating role, among the different key players.
Il CERISVI detiene una quota di partecipazione azionaria del Parco Scientifico e Tecnologico della Sicilia con cui sviluppa progetti di innovazione nazionali ed europei, ha realizzato e gestisce i seguenti laboratori di ricerca: Laboratorio City Lab (Sensoristica ed ICT) – Laboratorio AGRO-BIO-MAT (Biomateriali e Agro-Industria) oltre alla realizzazione di un Centro di Innovazione Sociale “Smart Hub”. Il CERISVI ha partecipato a diversi progetti con forte presenza tecnologica implementando, inoltre, attività di tipo ICT applicato a diversi ambiti della Strategia Regionale S3.
Il CERISVI è partner del Cluster Tecnologico Nazionale nell’Area di specializzazione: Energia – D.D. 1610 del 03/08/2016 “Avviso per lo sviluppo e potenziamento di Nuovi 4 Cluster tecnologici nazionali” – Codice Domanda CTN02_00018.
